I have been on a faith journey for nearly 30 years, and have often struggled with consistency in the Word, wondering if I’m praying ”right”, and wondering if I’m hearing from God or if it’s just my own thoughts. It wasn’t until I faced a couple valleys of my own that I was able to realize that in order to develop the spiritual disciplines and habits that kept me on the path to seeking God - and hearing from Him - it would require seeking Him on a daily basis so I can continue to grow in my relationship with Him. In this podcast, you will boost your faith with weekly memory verses, feel refreshed by daily devotionals, and start your day with prayer so you can feel comfortable in your faith journey. I’ve learned that to grow in faith, you need a few key ingredients: regular time in God’s Word, a community of fellow believers who’ve been around the block, and the knowledge that you’re right where you’re supposed to be. There’s a lot going on out there by way of New Year Resolutions and the overwhelm is overwhelming…ya’ll know what I mean!
Today, we’re going to begin with the word chosen for us as a whole: the word God has put on my heart for this community!
Next, I’ll share some thoughts about fasting that God led me to through the preaching of Pastor Erwin Lutzer. Very eye opening on the purpose around fasting and what that might look like for you!
Lastly, we’ll get into our first devotional of the new year: “Manage Your Emotions.” I am trusting, and believing, that this will definitely speak to your heart. We’ll talk about redirecting emotions while fostering a mindset that allows you to operate outside of your feelings.

The Holy Spirit is real. I can tell you that.
Have you ever felt fear or anxiety about something in your life?
I’m here to let you know: when God speaks, His voice is a still small whisper that leaves you with a feeling of peace - even when what He has to say is not good.
Why? Because our God IS good!
Thankful to be alive to share this testimony today. Our God is still in the business of miracles, and I know and believe that although this story wasn’t as messy as it could have been, it’s simply because Jesus literally: TOOK THE WHEEL!
